Genre

British pop music is so much more interesting than American pop music, we have Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers whereas they have artists like Keane and Kate Nash that are considered alternative or indie here.

I always have such a hard time coming up with ways to classify the music I listen to, because I don't feel like a lot of it necessarily fits into those typical categories. I like music that is more interesting, it's usually more of a blend between categories or just stuff that, especially down here, a lot of people would just consider "weird" (even though I have heard by far weirder stuff, and a lot of the stuff I listen to is pretty normal up north). Feel free to check my references and tell me what you think: http://www.last.fm/user/OrangeCrushes

These are some of the working genre definitions I have come up with for my musical tase:
-Alternative/Pop Alternative
-Indie/ Indie Pop
-Piano Rock
-Accoustic
-Pop Punk

What kind of music do you think is interesting, and why?
